Hey everyone I just put jba upper control arms on my 21 Tacoma. With a 2.25 ready lift level kit. I have 285/75/16 nitto ridge graps and fox shocks. We found today after about a week of the control arms being on. My right side upper has a torn boot already. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Should I adjust my keys? Sorry a little new at this. Thank you

IS that picture taken with the truck ON the ground, If so that angel looks horrible might be the reason its torn.

You have a Readylift with Fox shocks? Assuming the Fox are adjustable it sounds like you are stacking lifts. How much lift total do you have?

I have to hope that pic is taken with the tires at full droop off the ground or yes you’ve got one problematic angle and your CVs are likely in trouble too if that pic is with wheels on the ground

Shootin from the hip here, but there's a lot that looks wrong with this setup, including the coil diameter.

I wouldn't run Strut spacers AND coilovers.

I'm thinking you have to much lift and that boot ripped. Or it was damaged during installation and not noticed until now.
I'd loose the strut spacers for sure

I’d definitely remove the strut block in the front mounted on top of the Fox if you want good ride and off road capabilities. Thats 1.5” extra block is putting a lot of lift for these trucks and will definitely be harder on your other parts

The Fox shocks are adjustable coilovers. You are stacking lifts. There is no need for the spacer. General rule is Fox comes from factory with 2 inches of lift. No wonder the angles is jacked up. Remove the spacer. If you want more lift adjust the coil over.

Shocks don't provide lift. The coils do.

What does "other than the level" mean? Leveling kit? That huge spacer under the shcok top hat?

Yes so OP if you want more lift than what the fox came with then you’ll need to get a stiffer front set of springs if you’re trying do lift your truck the most functional way. I could see using a .25” spacer on top of the top hat to get rid of the driver side taco lean but the 1.5”-2” spacer installed is gonna cause you problems with drive line vibes and rapid worn out suspension parts. The Fox shocks are very good but won’t provide actual lift. Springs provide the lift

Thanks everyone. I’m going to take the level off then. And adjust the coils. So I can run the tires without scrubbing.
