Recently did a h9 swap for my low beams. I clipped the tab on the h9 bulbs so they would fit in the h11 plug. Some people recommended I pull the green piece out of the h11 plug. I don't want to do that and leave it empty though so...

Could I buy some used Toyota h9 pigtails, take the yellow center out of them, and use them to replace the green center on the h11 plugs?

Obviously I can just cut and solder the new pig tails in their place, but if the parts are swappable I'd like to avoid cutting wires.

You can but there's no point. You're adding wire length and additional contact points both of which increase resistance, which will negatively impact the performance.

I still don't understand why you don't want to pull out the green plug adapter out of the H11 housing. It literally is the best method to use H9's.

Another option is just go to the scrapyard get the connector and take the terminals out and pin it with your existing wires on your truck so that it's "swappable" and you can keep the lock in the connector
