Oh yeah I agree with you. I didn’t mean to sound like I thought they were somehow inferior.

I use Bob Webb at Action Surfboards. He lives in NC but is doing most of his shaping in Florida. He’s shaped boards for a bunch of pros and continues to do a few “unlabeled” boards for some. Definitely ships them too.

I’ve got a Robert’s surfboard (Ventura county) shea somma ( slo) Tyler lawyer surf design (morro bay) NSL (morro bay) I mostly try to stay in the slo area since that’s where I’m at. But I do like to try different shapers stuff from different areas.

Well this happened back in October …
    IMG_9077.jpg

I was letting it dry in the backyard after hosing it down, and had to take a phone call. In that time my dog decided he needed something to chew on. At least I was able to make a fun Halloween decoration out of it.

Does anyone have any surfboard travel bag recommendations? I have a single over the shoulder bag but I’m not sure I have enough space to adequately pad for airline travel.

You’ll probably laugh when I tell you it’s a French Bulldog whose paperwork specifically says 0% wolf

The fcs bag is pretty good. Also I’ve heard some really good thing about veia bags. If your looking for dakine and near the central coast I get a huge discount on them and can hook up.

Central coast? I wish. I live in Northern Alabama and only get to surf a couple times a year if I’m lucky. Thank you for the offer to hook it up though. I got a pro deal on DB stuff and was about to pull the trigger and my deal evaporated. Those Veia bags look good. I might give them a shot.

What’s db? And ya I’ve been thinking about trying out a veia too. They are all over the shops here. It’s either hype or they are actually good.

They are some European brand originally called Douche Bags but that was a bit too edgy.https://us.dbjourney.com/products/surf-roller-bag-3-4-boards-black-out

I have been checking out that brand Veia and they seem to be pimped out by John John Florence everywhere. Unfortunately, I cannot find much unbiased information on them. I’m stuck on FCS, prolite or Dakine. Somehow they magically are almost the exact same price.

You interested in showing me around your home breaks sometime? I might be out there next month. I’m not looking for a pipeline style experience. I’m a low intermediate surfer on a good day.

Interesting name choice lol. I like the Dakine only because I get a deal. Other than that my fcs is a better bag.

What fcs model travel bag do you use. I have a day bag but I’m in need of something for airline travel.

DB are the best. Biased because I know the owner. But they really are top notch quality.
