I've got a Stage 2+ clutch kit from Competition Clutch that I purchased from Gadget at URD in May for $622. I installed it, ran it for 5, that's right, 5 miles and removed it due to juddering. As it turns out, I didn't install alignment dowells in the new flywheel, which was the cause of the juddering.

I wanted to make sure the clutch wasn't damaged in any way by my mistake and sent it back in to Competion Clutch to have tested and inspected. They put it through their inspection process and said it was healthy and in fine working order. They re-sealed the clutch in heat sealed packaging and Fed Exed it back to me all for free. See below for the inspection report that I copied and pasted from my email. The whole process took several weeks and I needed to get my truck running so I purchased an Aisin clutch and installed it. Now they sent this back, I need to recoup a bunch of expenses and this has to go.

Asking $449 shipped to you OBO or trade for Eaton Tru-Trac, big brake parts, or Baja Designs lighting of equal value.

    Hello Nic Ratliff,

Thanks so much for your patience with us as we went through and inspected your clutch kit!

We were able to go through your kit and take a look at what is going on. What we saw was a healthy clutch kit. We saw that the plate was within our operational standards specs wise. It released at a very even rate and had a good plate load clamping down on the assembly. So pressure plate operation wise was in a very good state. Same for the disc it is in the middle of break in and can see that it is being worn in. But it is flat and has no waves in it or material defect. Only thing of notice was that the torque values on the plate MIGHT have been off. Inspector showed that on 3 of the pressure plate bolt holes that there was some rolling of the edges as if the plate might have been off center when on your flywheel. On our assembly it lined up well. That being found can create a tad of what is going on where the plate was a tad off center and wasn't releasing completely vertical. At this time we have no problems with shipping you back this kit and continuing through break in. We have no issues with the product here.
Please let me know your thoughts here and any questions you may have and we will be glad to help out here and will get you taken care of!
