    2001 Tacoma Pre runner
    I have a 3.4 L '01 Tacoma and when I start I hear a grinding noise for about half a second like the starter gear is't disengaging from the flywheel. So I figure I'll just replace the starter. And suggestions on brand quality? I don't want to waste time with Auto Zone or Orielly.

    I had a similar issue and it turned out it be the bearings inside. I got a Denso. Denso is typically one of the go-to brands for us.
