    Hi all,

I was replacing my belts on 300k + Tacoma and was torqueing my idler pulley to spec when the bolt just split(old and rusty one). Subsequently I had to remove the idler pulley and adjustment bolt because I couldn't get the rest of the bolt out of the locking mechanism(not sure what it's called). I'm able to find idler pulley replacements everywhere but no one seems to have an adjustment bolt replacement and the locking mechanism that goes with the idler pulley. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to a replacement for this?

Here are photos of the adjustment bolt and locking mechanism I'm talking about after I took it out, can message a photo the diagram to anyone if need be. It's all just from the idler pulley on the ac belt.

Truck is a toyota tacoma 2002 double cab trd 4x4 with 3.4 5vz-fe 6 cyl

    Thanks for all the help.

    Oh yeah ^^^^

IF you found one at junk yard…..
Vendor would probably want $20 for bolt only

I'd go ahead and replace the pulley......if that locks up......its gonna be a bad day...
it dont take a whole lot to damage an old harmonic balancer....
the rubber in it is probably pretty crispy........ oem HB starts $250 and up...

looks to me that hole bolt is unique to 5vz....

Thanks all, I found the bolt and idler pulley with locking mechanism you guys highlighted with my local toyota dealer for only 76$. We'll see how it fits in the truck, but I'm pretty certain it's the one I need. Bolt was only 1$ specific to 5vz through them thankfully. Took a full day to find, who knew it be so hard to find such a simple part for 5vz? lol
