I ordered the 65 as soon as it was available, and it was on at first startup. I may go smaller in the future but for this first go I think I will be plenty happy!

How are you all mounting up your gauges? I've got a haltech 2" CAN gauge, I'm thinking of doing a single pillar mount under my grab handle. Is it only a universal one, or is there color match/carbon fiber options?

It’s a universal size and I think black is the color and a few others maybe,, grab bar is still in place.

two different variations depending on the year of your truck

Here are your options for pillar gauge pods that fit the 01-04 Tacoma.

    https://gaugepods.com/products/tacoma-2-pod-full-pillar-01-04

    https://www.autometer.com/2-1-16-single-pod-toyota-tacoma-01.html

I like my grab handle, so pillar mounts are a no go for me. So I went with the one below.

So skimmed the thread and saw some numbers but have questions. I’m interested in this new sc for the claims magnuson is making. But I’m not looking to do much more than bolt the new charger on and be done. I want it reliable and not looking for huge numbers and without access to a dyno/tuner not really interested if it requires a lot of trouble shooting. I don’t mind doing a fuel pump and plugs and having injectors cleaned. Just not looking for much more than that because of the cost of the sc.

So with that said, what kind of hp/tq numbers are people seeing with a stock ecu and injectors?

The tvs1320 is designed to match the same output numbers of the old supercharger so that retesting every year and every vehicle Application would not have to be done for carb emissions. Also the ECU and stock fuel system is not capable of much more power without upgrades.
1320 is a completely new design that’s much more efficient updating the 25 year old previous supercharger. It turns much slower and creates much less heat because it’s 30 percent larger and less boost needed to get to the same power.
You’re going to see the same hp maybe a little more with the stock pulley as it turns so much slower and less heat with rebuilds probably being at greater intervals.
You should get an FMU, high flow pump, clean injectors new fuel filter and two step cooler plugs and be good

    Long time no post.

The new TVS1320 is being bolted onto the 2001 4X4 Manual this weekend, Denso Iridium IK22 and a new factory fuel filter to start.

The 2004 Prerunner is still running strong with the TRD SC/URD 7th Injector/255 Walbro/ Stock Injectors.

I'll keep you posted as time allows.

I've been back and forth between upgrading to the 1320 or a turbo, so this is great information supporting the 1320. If a better made/designed turbo manifold was out there, it would be an easy decision.

Well, I finally found some time to install the new supercharger. I had already installed the larger fuel pump and new fuel filter. I went ahead and replaced the valve cover gaskets, fuel injectors, and spark plugs too while I was in there. All went pretty well except for a few small problems:
    * The lower threaded hole on my motor where the dynamic tensioner bolt mounts had some severe rusting/damage on the entry threads. I don't trust this bolt connection so I may need to drill out and install a 9/16-12 x 10 mm x 1.25 SS threaded insert...I'm really not crazy about doing this work but don't know a better solution.
    * The instructions weren't detailed enough to cover all my 1/8" vacuum hose connections, (especially when adding a 3:1 FMU), but I got it straighten-out with help from Gabe.
    * On my '98 w/auto, the transmission cable was almost too short to reach the throttle body connection following the 1320 installation. I had to move the cable bracket that protects it from the exhaust manifold heat to gain enough length. Magnuson didn't warn about this problem or a work-around in the instructions.
    * On me, but I failed to install the IAC one way valve, so I've got to go back and take care of this.
    * My FMU unit was spraying fuel on start-up at the bottom center port - easy fix as the fitting just needed to be tightened a little more. It was scary for a moment though as all I could think about was where in the hell did I put the fire extinguisher!

Overall, I'm very pleased so far. I plan for a test drive soon.

How many of you upgraded to the TVS1320 from the 1st or 2nd gen supercharger? What were the differences in performance you noticed?

I am currently running a Haltech ECU with 550cc injectors, 4.56 gears with my 2nd gen supercharger and the truck runs like a raped ape…..but the temptation was too much, and I placed an order for a TVS1320 last week. I hope its worth the added cost. I considered going with a turbo, but with the lack of off-the-shelf quality turbo manifolds/kits available and already having a few turbo’d vehicles, I stuck with the supercharger.

Like you I had the 1st gen supercharger with haltech 1.9 pulley and ported and ran fantastic BUT the 1320 is 1320cc per revolution and the old one is 980cc per revolution =30 percent larger, 4 lobes instead of 3 lobes, 160 degree twist compared to 60 degree twist, bearing rated at 20k instead of 15k. It's better in every way.
Turbo is the best but no true plug and play good setups available. Supercharger is an afternoon job.
You will gain 40-50hp TQ depending on your elevation and mods. Snpspeed.com can do a special order for the 56mm pulley and shave the snout I believe.
If you're selling the older supercharger its not that big of a cost.
3 year warranty and all new technology over a 20 year old design that's much more efficient

Did they discontinue the previous model S/C? I don't see it listed on their website, and it also looks like URD no longer lists their kit.
