    Installed a DD stage series light bar, I bought a caliraised OEM style switch with the harness for backlighting. Now I have 2 wires from the switch, a lead with 3 wires and a lead with one wire from the harness. I've been searching all week to try and find an answer before it arrived. Can't seem to find anything helpful for this exact scenario. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

    Youre missing some things. You need a relay.

    So the middle harness you won't need. The right harness is the one that came with the lightbar. The left harness is the one you bought with the switch. I assume the two bare wires go to the white and blue that are currently on the DD switch. The other contraption is your ground and dash lighting.

    The relay is in the rest of your DD wiring harness.

    I'm not recognizing the color scheme for your dash switch. A push switch will have four leads: One will be a +12V input that comes from your dashboard, one will be a +12V output that goes to your relay pole #86, one will be a ground, and one will be dashboard illumination.

    Every switch should come with a diagram that explains what color is what. If that was not provided, contact CR and get one.

    So the black would just stay disconnected you think?

    This is from their website.Screenshot_20231201-124655.png

    The black from the switch is already connected to the illumination harness. That's what's throwing me off I guess.

    That is poorly written, whatever that means.

    I had to dig to find it, but here is the switch. Same as a Ch4x4.

    The red and black that are already pinned to the plug go into your dash. I have no idea what they are intending to harness into with that. Red 2 goes to illumination, normally a lavender wire in the Tacoma. Black goes to ground. Green is your +12V source, Red (the other red, god I hate CH4x4's crackhead color scheme) goes to your relay trigger. You are going to have to cut and splice to make it fit the relay harness.

    The ground is required for the LED in their switch. Since you're using the harness with the caliraised switch and it's using a harness to provide ground and illumination, you don't need it. I'd tape it up real good and tuck it someplace.

    @McHale has it correct.

    I am curious though, these backlit spec lights, where is the backlit wire linked in at?

    That's the switch illumination harness that @CaliRaisedLed knocked off. Maybe try asking those clowns for help to demonstrate they truly understand what they made instead of just taking one of my harnesses and copying the pin map :). Contact their customer service and report back. Genuinely curious if they know the answer. If they can't help you just send me a DM and I'll get you squared away.

    Awesome. How difficult was it to run the cable through the firewall and install the switch? My DD lightbar is sitting in a box in my living room waiting for decent weather. Tomorrow is supposed to be 44 degrees so if it's not raining I may give it a try. I found the switch I had installed in my Toyota Matrix so if it fits in the shorty blank properly, I'm going to us it. Otherwise I'll probably get the CH4x4 switch.

    Was really easy to run the wire, last week I installed a new firewall grommet. This was the first thing though it. Ha

    I ended up using the dual function switch from CaliRaised to wire my backlit SS2’s. The daul funtion switch has 5 wires coming from the harness, black and yellow will go to the daisy chain to illuminate the switch. Then, from the CR switch to DD harness, blue to blue, red to yellow and green to red.
