Those leds seems to be the same ones you can buy off of eBay for a couple of dollars. You’re really paying for the mold.

As long as they are the older style this is exactly correct. Anyone should be able to Google like 24 smd led panel and find what they need or whatever # LEDs are on the board. The newer ones where he had custom led panels made to fit the print might just have to be replaced by generic panels.

To be honest the choice of connector they used for the 2nd gens sucks anyways, it’s not the correct festoon size, at least on the newer version dual red/white dome I have and I believe I bitched about it elsewhere.

Even has the same “double sided” tape as the ones you would get off of eBay or AliExpress. Recognized them right away lol!

So who is taking over production? I’m down for dual color dome and map lights.

No clue. I’ve been waiting for over a year for the Dome, and I always get the same “they’re coming soon!” response.

I would buy these if they ever come out but the lack of customer support for these is a big no no for me!

I was referring to any member that seems to know the source for the materials and the knowledge to make them. I won’t buy from Meso it seems like a dead company. But I’d buy from another member if they can produce something similar.

It’s beyond my intelligence, I’m just a consumer on this one.

They are taking preorders for their next limited run items fyi. Doesn’t include domes and maps but includes the 3rd brake lights and some other crap.

Doesn’t seem like the company is dead just more like a “buy my boutique Tacoma shit at your own risk”. The fact they don’t really follow up on warranty items just says to me they don’t make enough product to even ship a warranty item.

It would be nice if they at least offered links for any repair parts that are available such as appropriate led panels. The printed parts are still proprietary.

I cant support undercutting MESO, I will wait for the release of the dome light, I don't need this but I want it, if mine failed I would just switch back to the LED version, I have never had an issue with MESO stuff before to be honest and I run a fair few of their items I find it surprising they are not responding to warranty stuff.

Agreed but in the absence of warranty response it would be nice to have an alternative for repairs. It’s not the proprietary 3D printed stuff that’s in question but the leds. We’ve been sold a socket but no way to replace the bulb.

i went with a superbrightleds festoon in my xB and it is perfect and bright and has held up great over last 3 yrs......not a bad gap filler for the time being. That being said, running one of those ebay red panels stuffed into my mazda protege dome and it is also working great. I also have a bag of those white panels somewhere in the garage. I can dig it out and see how many there are and report back for anyone wanting to swap theirs out. pretty sure they are the 4x6 versions. i would be willing to go tw deal on whatever is of use for like $2 or so just to cover shipping......lemme get back and post pics of what I have. they have those spring loaded festoon connections and that other plug like in pics above.

The dudes account hasn’t even been active on here since 2022. It’s not really that surprising. Probably got tired of responding to PMs and tags constantly.

And it’s not undercutting if your replacing cheap crapped out smd panels with new, cheap smd panels.

fair enough, I'm just saying I have the map lights with no issues so far, just looking to add the dome light when it becomes available.

oh yeah no I’m referring to people who have the product and already had an LED panel burnout with empty promises from customer service.

I have the dual color dome with no problems either except for the crappy choice of incorrect festoon length for 2nd gen applications. The proprietary circuit board on this unit though is otherwise well made.

Well, I succeeded in replacing the led panels in my set of whites but it’s definitely not plug play. These are the panels I bought.
    LUYED 4 x 960LM Super Bright 5630 24-SMD White Color Panel Interior Dome LED Lights(Include 3 Adapter)

They come with 3-sets of plugs for different sockets.
The leds and layout match meso’s except he uses two panels per side and this is a single panel. These boards must be cut and allowed to spread ~1mm to fit. It can be done but I expect I’ll be the only person ever to bother. I had to peel off the foam tape, desolder the leads and an smd resistor, score both sides, snap the boards, fit them in the mold, resolder the resistor and wires and add jumpers to reconnect traces cut when I bisected the biards, and reapply the foam tape. As much as I like these I can’t imagine this being a common practice. If the panels were precut and prewired 2 into 1 plug it would be plug/play but even if you could find 12 x 5730 smd led panels you would still have to pair them to work here.
