    This is the internet.
There isn't a right answerer to this question.
Thus the reason for my first post.

The 2nd post was answering a question.

This is one of those, "It's going to shit" post.
You know it won't end well.
And question whether you should even post in it, in the first place.

For $37.89 and if you spend over $100 you get free shipping so why question it. Buy some spare lug nuts and wheel studs.

In my opinion this is also Bullshit. If you follow this logic you should be replacing every bolt after you loosen it.... clearly an insane position.

Yep. I wheeled on that field welded lower BJ to spindle in my olg rig for 6 months before I finally replaced it. I told myself I was doing it for science to find out how long that weld would hold. I reality it was summer and being down for even a day was unacceptable. lol

Just picked up some 3rd gen low mileage leafs for my kids 2012. Is there anywhere to buy new u-bolt kits instead of buying individual u-bolts. No lift blocks or anything. Just staying stock. I am a firm believer in new u-bolts just as much as replacing head bolts. Stretched steel is weak steel. If you want to argue please don't bother. I am always right.

I can get Toyota brand for $25.50 each. I assume the oem nuts are fine for repeat use.

    Replace them or reuse them.
I have done both many times.

But if they break and you end up destroying your truck, you will wish then you had replaced them. Good luck with your truck.

These aren't 'torque to yield' bolts, meaning yes, they do stretch but not to the point of plastic deformation like a head bolt. Hell, even a failed head bolt doesn't break (in normal applications), it just stretches and lets you blow a head gasket.
If they are in decent shape, I'd reuse them.

Maybe I misunderstood . I thought the $28 in the link was per each u-bolt. If that is a 4 PC kit then hell yea.
