Just noticed a knock when engaging the clutch of my 97 taco, and I see the push rod is off center going into the master cylinder.. anyone know what could cause this and possible fix I could do?

The metal “fork” coming off the master that connects to the clutch pedal has a plastic bushing that connects the clutch master arm to that fork. Yours obviously has failed.

I would just go buy a crappy master from autozone for around $30 and just use the hardware from it. Remove the “fork” from the generic parts store master and use that to replace your failed one. For bonus dirt bag points you can go and return the autozone master with your
failed joint and get your $30 back.
