I recently purchased a camper top for my extended bed Tacoma, any tips for installing and maintaining it?

Air bags or AAL depending on weight.

If you plan to carry loads on the roof or wish to have extra tie downs at the rear then bed stiffeners are an inexpensive option. Most common leak points are at the front where the bedrail caps transition to the lower front bed wall. Caps don’t overhang here as they do on the sides and rear window. It gets caulked on install but often this isn’t done quite right.

Agreed on the air bags or add-a-leaf. Timbrens or Sumo springs are another option as well as entire leaf packs. I recommend checking them all out to see what they offer. I went with air bags because they fit my needs best. The stock leaf packs tend to be too soft and bottom out with even minimal loads in addition to the few hundred pounds of a cap.

There are a few threads here on making your truck bed dustproof/waterproof. Most are cheap and easy. DEFINITELY spend the time and effort to do that.
