JBL wiring VS Stock

Is there a difference in wiring from the head unit to the speakers on the JBL vs stock systems? As in quality of wire, gauge and routing. The reason behind this question is that in the future (read a year or so down the road), I'll be planning on putting in a DVD head unit. Not knowing squat really about sound systems, would it be advisable for me to re-use the wiring and the JBL speakers, or just go with stock and rip everything out when I finally upgrade? I don't listen to music at high volume, so don't want/need booming woofers, just want good sound quality. I haven't even ordered my taco yet, just wanted to think through as many things that I might have for a desirement before I commit to my next truck. Thanks for any advice. matt
