I wonder if it was Steve Baileys bass or given away by him/them at a fundraiser or that school?

Honestly no idea. It was on consignment at DB music in 1996, when I put the deposit down on the Thumb bass. Really lucky coincidence, looking back!

    A coincidence I wouldn’t sell.
Maybe it was one of the students bass. Hocked it after 4 kids and 3 divorces. :)
Strange and mysterious how a fretless 6 string, signed by a master of the fretless 6 string and his Grammy winning co-founder in this bass camp, ended up where it did.
    Fine treasure you have there.

Backing up to the garage theme.
What type of garage door do you have? and or draft solutions you've uncovered.
My door is 16x7 wood. 4-16'x21" horizontal panels.
Was looking at the reflective bubble wrap like I used on my water heater. As I will be able to overlap the panel gaps.
The door gets cold to the touch and slight drafts between panels.

Reflectix can definitely work well and is easy to shape to your use.

I have an insulated 16x7 door and it forms a good seal. The real test will be if it gets below zero. But, when it was about 9 degrees this past week, no issues.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
And with your garage facing east, wind shouldn't be a problem.

I might be able to make that if others are going. Have some current mods/maintenance going on, depends how far I get it back together from those projects.

Just what I was thinking. I don't have enough mechanized cavalry ready to roll here to pull that off.

If @CygnusX191 flanks them from the south and you flush them out of the city I think you have a shot.
Otherwise, you don't stand a chance against those curb hoppers in the lots.

I'm gonna be traveling through a lot of enemy territory to pull that maneuver off. Would need local reinforcements

If others are going I could arrange to make it. I don't have any hard plans for that day so far.

My truck is currently set up in winter mode with the rack and roof rack bedroom put away, and the factory tonneau on. It's looks rather boring, and it's not worth putting on for a 1 day event.

You're no longer #overlandaf dude, so you'd probably be rejected from the event...unless you have maxtrax to mount somewhere?

Damn out before it even started. Well thanks for saving me a trip.

Maybe it would be enough to display the box from the badlands winch on the tailgate.

I do have some traction board mounts that work with my tonneau cover but I need new boards since mine were cracked during the last outing. I'm planning on going with actual maxtrax this time but haven't pulled the trigger since I've been researching another much more expensive upgrade.

I could make a bedside decal. How about foot high letters that say “Overlander Extreme!”?
