Hello I posted in the newbie forum and didn’t get any response so I figured I would try here. I installed a magnessun supercharger over the past few days did all the steps with the vf tuner to get it licensed and watnot I may have screwed up thinking it was better to wait on the tune till I installed the s/c so everything could calibrate while it’s on the motor but anywho I finished up the installation and went to flash my ecu and the software couldn’t get my vin and kept saying it was unplugged or the key was off. It clearly was not the case. But my truck won’t start and I can’t get ahold of anyone at magnessun (typical from wat I’ve experienced) but I did get in touch with someone at ov tune that is the lead developer it says under his name and he said I have no power to my ecu and upon checking fuses he is correct but the fuses are all good… any help would be greatly appreciated maybe I can get this thing going before magnessun callstomorrow. im thinking my ecu just needs to be reset but all the ways I’ve read about on here to do that don’t do anything I wanna say its my anti theft system but im not sure. Thanks in advance
    B

I can’t even get the tuner to connect with my truck it just says it can’t read VIN but sounds like it could also just be a loose or not connected ground somewhere headed home to continue troubleshooting

With no power to the ECU, would certainly expect a bad ground or a loose connection.

Ecu not having power is exactly that.. a lack of power/ connectivity. Even without power an ecu is visible to a scanner/laptop. The fact that it isn’t even being seen means it’s not connected somewhere not solely related to power. There is a plug out, short, broken connector, broken pin in a connector, something. Time to double check everything.

It’s not the end of the world. There are tuners on here that can help you get back to running.

I had a similar situation when my Tacoma was flashed with the tune. The fuse that was blown was under the dash on the left side, near the door, NOT in the main fuse box. Did you check that location? If not, I do not have any other useful info.
