I'm getting a Bilstein 6112/5160 suspension set at 2", SPC UCA, and Icon AAL installed soon. I'm also getting larger 285/70R17 tires and new wheels. This seems like a silly questions but should I have the new tires and wheels with me to be put on when I get the suspension lift installed, or should I wait to put the bigger tires on until I get it to the tire shop for an alignment?

Generally speaking alignment should be done a bit after the suspension is installed to allow it to cycle and settle a bit.

Since the hubs are what is aligned the wheels and tires in place at the time of alignment don't matter.

If it saves you a trip, do it all at once. Otherwise it doesn’t much matter.

Yes, but he is installing 33’s and a proper/special alignment might be required to fit them.

Dont throw too many changes at one time. Suspension. Then alignment,

then new tires a few days or a week later. This way if the balance is off on the tires then the suspension cant be blamed.

I would check to see if the shop doing your lift can do your alignment. They may be better equipped to do the lift than a tire shop.

just wanted to provide some closure for the thread. My local Toyota off-road shop advised me it was up to me if I wanted to have the tires with me and put on with the suspension or wait until the alignment was done, but they advised they don't do alignments in-house. And boy could I tell they wern't kidding after getting the suspension done :). Luckily they have a good relationship with a technician at pep-boys and he knew exactly what I needed and got me lined up for the day after the suspension was done. Turned out Pep-boys was having a buy 3 get 1 free sale on tires so I'm glad I waited and was able to save a little money. Here's a pic of how the truck is shaping up: 2023-12-03 10.46.21.jpg
