I have one more firewood cover to make, but the stand isn't at all level, so I will make one to assemble on it later on. This one will do for now, that is all the old wood for this year. The other rack is under a roof, and I decided it needed nothing else.

We’re in Dammeron Valley Utah for a few days visiting good friends. They live on about 10 acres rural area. Since we’ve been here I’ve seen well over a dozen deer out their front window. I’ve also seen 3 different bucks with the biggest racks I’ve ever seen. I’m a deer hunter and I’ve seen some big antlered deer but not like I’ve seen here. I’m looking into getting out of state tags and coming back to hunt next year.
Tomorrow we’re heading to Las Vegas for a couple days and then home.
Haven’t hunted deer for a couple years due to back problems but I’ll be sighting in my 30-06 when I get back dreaming of next year (hopefully)

It's funny that you couldn't negotiate a price... but I don't speak fluent acronym...

ADM? Application data management? Admiral? Acellular Dermal Matrix? Never mind, I doubt it would ever be useful.

    Morning all!
24 and heading for 50...so muddy roads. New wheels and tires are great and I love the ride.

Drove up to Zuni to my bank yesterday. Enjoyed the candycane rocks. Got cash and another account set up. Nice folks.
Got appt for springbender guy for the 12th and he knows my mech., who will take care of that too. Trailering it to his shop after this weekend.
Taking the Ford to get door straightened today.
Looks like a sunny week ahead.

    Morning all:
I think I just found my new deer gun, might have to cut the barrel down a bit though!
A Ukranian sniper who supposedly just set a new record "kill" at 2.36 miles.
Think the article said the aimpoint was 330' high, and 200' off to the side of the target to compensate for all the variables. o_O

We have an out door "tool" closet (a separate basement), has chain saws, weed eaters and stuff like that. The motion sensor switch was my answer to forever forgetting to "turn off the lights, forgetful old fool". I would have forgotten to check the LED switch.

Thank You. If we buy another car I will look into the Costco program.

Most dealers try not to negotiate a deal. My last 4 car purchases were not in a hurry, and I could go on longer without purchasing the vehicle. I like to research the price of a car for 6 months to a year to know if the dealer is offering a decent deal of not. 3 of the purchases were through EDS, my wife worked there, and the employees received a 10% discount off the sticker, which is a decent deal. We also had a GM master card which would allow you to accumulate $500 a year towards the price of a GM car with a max of $3500. This made for a really decent deal. We purchased a 95 Bonneville that was 10% off the base price and 18% off all options. The next car was a strict 10% off the total MSRP. The Avalon purchase was a different breed of dealing. The dealer has some leeway but not a lot. As luck would have it in July of 2017 Toyota Finance offered 0% financing and the Avalon, we bought had an additional $1000 off for the specific car on the dealer's lot. The 0% financing was offered on the 4th of July, and we bought the car on the 5th. I have not seen 0% financing from Toyota in a long time since the purchase. You can get as low as 1.5% financing on various models during different months of the year.

One of my new car buying tenants is I am the one with the money not the dealership. If I want the car, I make sure the dealership has my contact number before I walk. They always call me back. Sometimes I still do not make the purchase.

Good morning. Up early again today. The wife is still in Michigan helping my niece take care of my SIL. I pick her up at the airport on Thursday night. Only have a few putz type chores to do today around the house so it is an easy day for me.

That's a great experience. It's better to remember the good ones than the ones that are bad. Some guys get insulated from the customer and don't get that type of interaction. I got to meet a great tech at our Toyota dealership when I worked at the Chrysler dealership for a couple years. The owner had 3 in a row Honda being the 3rd. That tech was a great guy but always busy with the tough stuff and had the reputation for being the best master tech in the region. The only reason I got to meet him was I had a Gen 1 with the 3.4 and I was on a 3rd water pump. In a year so he got it. He found it wasn't the issue but a hose/pipe under the intake that was leaking down the pump. I went back to working on doors and windows. I had only experience in brakes and front end components and tires from my high school years. But I had met some really great people working on homes that had bad experiences with contractors. Now days most contractors sub everything out and have few people that work for them that are experienced in showing people how to do general annual maintenance ofter the purchase of the home. So a lot of the warranty work I did was either install or product issues. You live in a cold climate too a lot of my calls were from non shrink able weather stripping that would shrink more than a half inch when it got cold. Those kind of people are the ones that keep you sane. I had a lady that I got to go to her house 3xs for shrinking weatherstripping the last time she said do you find the stuff that shrinks just to come and visit me. I learned after a bad year to store it outside so it shrank before I put it in. She was always nice about it compared to some of the other ones that had similar experiences.
