    I did happen to watch a video some 2-3 weeks ago about G code for this

    Different speeds really give largely different results

    You run it like you would a cnc mill, and it can all be done on Fusion

    @Kwikvette

    Did you see this clock that was posted on LS forum? Guy said it took 6 hours using EasyScribe and he set the hatch command to create lines 0.008" apart.

    Isn't it just spring loaded?

    The ones I checked out are air scribes. I'm sure there are other options.

    It was a one man shop out of state. I did tell him they were prototype parts that I needed to confirm fitment but I don't think that should have made it worse right? I dunno maybe it was a fluke. My first parts were cut out on a water jet so I was used to super clean cuts.

    Haven't welded in a few weeks. Got an order yesterday, busted out the blocks today.

    Prototype or not, if a machine is dialed in (which it should be if you're charging for parts), the cut quality should be good. At that point, only thing off would be whatever measurements that need to be tweaked since you said prototype.

    Water jet though? Oh man :drool:

    yeah i didnt really give it a fair shot but i was already used to that standard of cut and didnt feel like doing a bunch of trial and error to get acceptable plasma cuts. Laser was great the first go so i stuck with it.

    Yes, the basic Easyscriber is spring loaded. Here is a response from seller on Plasmaspider to a guy wanting to know if he could use it on his magnetic breakaway torch setup:

    "It does not require air supply, it does use spring pressure like a drag knife. Lateral load forces are minimal as the diamond tip is very fine and high spring pressure is not required. We have not found a magnetic breakaway that has separated yet and optional springs are available if needed. Even low budget tables with small steppers can drag these around with ease so expect you would see no issue if your carrying a beast of a pneumatic unit."

    My assumption on this was right on point; customer came over as he had a request for 5 plates out of 12 gauge

    33 amps, 75ipm, and a 0.7 pierce delay and all the pieces were dross free; parts were 13.6" x 10"

    I'll have to dial in my 1/4" now but not sure if I want to do that with my 45 amp tip (1.0mm kerf width) or 65 amp tip (1.1mm kerf width)

    The stuff you can cut out and sell from scrap left overs; awesome

    All 16 gauge, the big one is hot rolled and all the smaller pieces are cold rolled

    Big part of me says to use the big one, make it layered, and gift it to my mom
