Have a 2017 TRD Sport and want to lift/level it a bit. Would a 2-inch front spacer and 1-inch block in the back affect anything (upper control arms, rear shocks, dif drop)? Or is it okay to install it as is? Most people I've talked to say anything over 3 inches is when you should start to worry. Let me know your thoughts.

The 2" front spacer is terrible for the truck. You will be putting a lot of stress on the CV as you are extending the factory travel of the suspension. Also, when the suspension is fully compressed, you risk destroying your shock if you don't put a new bump stop in.

None of that will happen with a basic 2 inch level spacer.

What logic do you have supporting this?

It will squat with the old leaf springs, nose high. They work best with new components.

Basic suspension logic lol. Tons of people on here with a basic spacer lift in the front with zero issues. Doesn't sound like the OP is a hardcore off roader. He will be fine.

I would personally go with a set of Bilstein 5100s or something equivalent because he will already have the suspension out of the truck, but for light wheeling a mall crawling, he will be fine.

As long as you realize this lift is 100% cosmetic and in no way a performance upgrade then you're good to go. Just make sure to get an alignment.

You'll see a lot of hate thrown around for spacer lift kits (and somewhat rightfully so) but if you're just after an aesthetic improvement here you have nothing to worry about. A spacer lift puts no more strain on CV's than a regular lift of the same amount. And unless you plan to abuse your truck offroad then the likelihood of strut damage due to the spacers is extremely low. Tons and tons and tons of people run setups like this with no issues whatsoever.
