    Hello guys,

I bought my truck used with current tires and rims setup as 265/50 R20 107T so probably the previous owner already changed the tires and rims. I brought it to DiscountTire, and they told me with the current setup, the tires would be quietly expensive because of the aspect ratio.

My tires kinda need a replacement but not really and also need to replace the TPMS sensors. I'm planning to swap the current setup back to factory tires and rims. My truck is a 2007 Tacoma Prerunner V6 RWD.

Does anybody know what is the factory rims and tires of this truck? I don't off-road so I don't need something crazy, just from home to work.

    Thank you

    265/65 R17

Ok, thank you. I'm also in the market for a set of wheels for my vehicle. DiscountTire employee told me to buy black wheels (no coating) to avoid bead leaks in the future instead of chrome wheels which will have chrome coating and will fall apart years later. My question is what is the automotive terminology for the black wheels with no coating that he referred to? I'm searching on DiscountTire but don't see that.

should be a sticker on your drivers door frame saying what the stock tires and rims were. then you could look up your vin on a toyota parts website and find out what wheels yours had. then look on Craigslist or facebook market place and find some nice used wheels

No one adds black dye to aluminum and am not familiar withANY metal that is black. If rim is black, it has been coated with something. He is probably referring to anodized coatings, which are highly resistant to flaking off, unlike chrome or clear coat. As resistant as anodized coatings are, I promise you that the untrained gorillas at DT will succeed in damaging it. However unlike other coatings, anodized coatings won’t continue to flake off beyond the damage area. It is the toughest coating available for aluminum.

I have for sale the original OEM 17" wheels off of my 2015 Tacoma Sport 2wd, no center caps or TPMS Sensors.
I'm located in the Los Angeles area.

Hit Craigslist and pick up someone's factory takeoffs. 16 or 17 inch will both work fine. You can find a full set with good rubber (sometimes damn near new or actually new) with TPMS for cheap.

As an example, there's a full set of 2nd gen 16" alloys with passable rubber for 150 bucks near me, and some brand new 3rd gen takeoffs for 1100.

Any 2nd generation or later Tacoma or FJ wheels will fit your truck.

I would avoid that place. That is one of the most absurd things I have seen recommended by a tire place. Many people run wheels of all different colors.
