So i’m replacing my 02 Sensors and the OEM Parts numbers are supposed to be

    89465-04270
    Downstream

    89467-04010
    Upstream

When I pulled the old ones out they show
    29040-12U06
    Upstream

    42240-10U27
    Downstream

When I google the old part numbers they don’t even show on google results

Is there reason why they would be a different part number? Had this happened to anyone else?

    I have 2005 Toyota Tacoma A/T Base Cab 2.7 L

Updated parts will have an updated part number. Change in supplier or really any change.

Go to Denso and look up what fits.

Also non toyota marked denso parts are about 1/2 to 1/3the price of the same part in a Toyota bag.

The parts may have superseded from the previous ones.

The oem are toyota part numbers. What you find on the sensor itself is densos part number. Not supposed to match. Toyota buys the parts from denso, but then give it a unique toyota part number. All mfg’s do it this way. Sometimes denso omits the number on the part for toyota and sometimes they don’t. Sometimes they will put toyotas number on the part. A bought a spicer carrier bearing and spicer had actually embossed the toyota logo on the rubber part. Obviously they wouldn’t do that if that same part was also used on another vehicle.

Thank you! I was confused that both were different then the toyota website since they are both old sensors and looked original. I appreciate the clarification.
