So I was kinda stupid and upgraded my leaf springs (ICON RTX multirate option #2) without changing my rear shocks thinking it'd be fine for now and I could wait a couple months before getting the shocks. Turns out, I actually max out the stock shocks now on certain large bumps, so this needs to get resolved asap. I know I want Bilstein 5125 shocks which come in a variety of lengths, but the problem is I don't know which specific length I need.

My lift height is a hair over 2" (unloaded it's 2.25", loaded at 200lbs it's 1.75", and my bed has a permanent ~150lbs in it so probably around 2").

I see extended lengths of 22.88", 24.41", and 25.39", with compressed lengths of 14.32", 15.12" and 15.91" respectively.

In theory I should just take the stock specs add ~2" and boom there's my answer, but i'm having trouble finding specific numbers, especially for the compression since that determines if i'll need taller bump stomps. I could go out and measure it for the extended length, however I'm not sure if the length is just the body or if it includes the top nut, which could throw off my measurement.

Any help would be extremely appreciated. And yes, I will also be doing a brake line extension alongside it.

    If it matters, it's a 2014 DCSB trd-offroad.

Take a look at the bilstein B110, it's a 5100 series shock originally spec'd for a 1st gen tundra with 4-6" lift but works awesome on our trucks with extended brake lines and an extended bump stops, I run wheelers offroad superbumps which are excellent for the price.

I'm running Bilstein 5160s with the below measurements.

I have the Deaver U402 Stage 3 setup for 3 inches of lift (2 on a 3rd gen) at 700-1000lbs of constant weight. I often run completely empty, and haven't yet run into any issues. Been on my truck 5 and a half years.

Do you know how big of a bump stop I'd need to avoid bottoming out with that? Looks like it's got a collapsed length of 16.34"

you can get Timbers and add spacers if needed. They used to have a rep that posted here, not sure they are still around. I’ve for a flip kit with them on mine. No spacer though but I think they offer 1-2” spacers maybe.

I can’t remember of tell if this pic was with the rear lifted off the ground. I guess it might help telling you I have the Ironman Foam Cell pros back there as well. Extended: 23.01/610mm
    Compressed: 14.92/379mm

I have a U-bolt flip kit, deaver stage 2's and the superbumps I mentioned and they work great for me. A friend of mine also runs them on a similar setup with the Timbrens mentioned above

    Same crap everyone else got
I run gm bumpstops. They are super cheap and work great.
This set up but I have a ubolt flip kit instead. (not my pic but from the thread I got the idea to use the GM bumps.)
