That is a killer price. These are the same Haltec parts?

I like your other prices also.

I know they work the same. I have no complaints with them at all.

Ah! I know all the Haltec ones that I have bought in the past are still working great. I've made a few of these setups for friends.

I have made several 100 of them and have had no problems. I know they are a good quality part.

Are you guys using 1/4” or 3/8” hose?

I've only used 1/4in. We're not moving the kind of CFMs needed for 3/8in unless you are also tying into high speed air tools.

Generally, the tire valve cores are the choke point along with output of the compressor.

I think a scuba tank / PowerTank is about the fastest thing you can get for inflation and it was never really slowed down by the 1/4in stuff, IMHO.

We use 1/4" super flexible hose. It's 300PSI rated. I made a 3/8 hose for a comparison test, to the 1/4 hose, timed the 2 to see if one was faster than the other. It turns out the timing was the exact same. The myth that the 3/8 is faster is not true.

    The Clamptite. Love it!

I think earlier in this thread, someone fabri-cobbled one up out of a turnbuckle.

    https://www.amazon.com/s?k=clamptite+tool&hvadid=616863315249

There are a few different sizes. You only need one for baling wire and 0.041in SS.

    Here's the turnbuckle version:

    Cheers!

It is a lot slower than worm or oetiker clamps. But to me, it is more fun and makes a nice flush clamp that doesn't catch on anything.

I honestly forgot I had it. I use the DIY inflator all the time, I guess I need to appreciate those good looking clamps more when I use it.

    You know it!

It killed me when the guy painting our house this summer spliced our house with the OG die-type hose clamp. Been meaning to fix it correctly.

I use the baling wire from HF, esp for these. Otherwise, I have the 0.041in SS can from HF for larger stuff, like garden hoses.

Some 0.063in SS wire would be perfect if you have some.

I made my first one out of 3/8 but I’ve switched to 1/4. Packs up quite a bit smaller

I can fit it in the box with my arb single portable
