Asking Santa for some stuff to keep in my Tacoma

On the list are ratchet tie downs, small tool kit, 12volt tire inflator and a tire plug kit. What else is everybody keeping behind the back seats of their trucks?

 

I would highly recommend getting a tire inflator that runs off the battery.

VIAIR 88P under the seat. Tire patch kit (like you said you want) that may only just get me out of the far-beyond but is there. I should get a folding saw. A towel wraps a 4-D-cell flashlight to pacify unruly passengers.

I put a GB40 in both my vehicles and got them for my adult children too.
Jumper cables aren’t worth a crap if you don’t have someone who will give you a jump. I learned that the hard way when me, my wife and kids got stranded in a full parking lot and nobody would help us.

I actually use them more often than my ratchet straps, but I always carry a set of both. (4 straps, 2 of those bungees).

I carry it behind the rear seat along with grocery sacks. Again, a frequent use item and extremely handy for getting the occasional glass-bottled purchase safely home.



Everyone always chimes in with the recovery stuff, which is great to have and to show off ( I actually used my Viair88 to assist the boss yesterday), but dont forget the small organizationals. Those are lifesavers too ^^^

That's awful. I always try to stop and help, but I stopped lending my cables to do so, and now my GB40 is the first thing I assist with. I have run across so many people who will ignore advice and do the wrong thing with jumpers, and I don't want my truck toasted for being nice.

I still carry cables - the last person I jumped was a box truck making a delivery. I told him to get in his truck and push the starter when I give the signal - he happily listened, so I happily hooked up my cables. But the GB40 is still my first choice.
