In the meantime , I have also been looking at all the wiring people have done… and it impressive to say the least. I’ve done an amp switch , fuse block and such up front for clean wiring. im trying to figure out a way to send power back to the bed, and build a little set up so I can run the topper lights and awning lights off of the primary, OR off of a Jackery /portable power set up. Was curious if using a heavy duty three way switch like the marine 1 or 2 source switch would work .
    something like this quick sketch

That's a good start, though without knowing where you want to go I can't speak more accurately.

I would personally stress spending some time thinking about what you want to power currently, and then thinking about what you may want to add, and are likely to add, in the future. Take that and work to fine tune your desired setup.

If you are simply trying to power things like a USB charger for phones, tablets, etc., the canopy lights (I am assuming they are the same as the Canopy Camper), and some awning lights, a portable device like Ecoflow or Jackary will do everything you need, without the need to tie into your starter battery. Also remember that your starter battery is designed to deliver loads of current really quickly, not to deliver low bits of current for a long time.

If you want anything more than my guess above, you need to strongly consider a house battery and all that comes with that.

Good point . I switching over from Leitner rack with RTT and my set up is pretty simple . But I’ll try to figure what down road may want to use

When I went from a bedrack and RTT to an enclosed space my electrical desires increased greatly. Being enclosed is a game changer.

what changed? the only thing i can think that would be useful in my shell is a fridge. if i ever go that route i was planning on getting a jackery or goal zero to power it, and plugging into the outlet already in the bed to charge when i drive

I cannot speak to living out of mine, but for wkd warrior type stuff, a 120AH house battery with Redarc charging while driving has been all we literally have ever needed. To the point where I honestly haven't splurged for a solar panel. Phone/device charging, large fridge, normal lighting...We can usually sit for 3 days straight and not even thinking about needing a charge up. We are not running inverters & laptops, etc. but for normal operation and camping needs, this simple set up has been great and we never tax the starter battery. If I had decent solar panel, I could sit in the same spot endlessly as long as there was sun.

I grabbed some of those GP factor maxtrax mounts a while back and milling over putting them on the back door or a side door. Do you have any pictures of how they mount on the other side or is it just short self tappers and sandwich the plate/door/pins? It doesn't seem substantial enough

I’ll grab a picture for you tomorrow. If you install them on the side doors you will also have to change out the struts to a sturdier version.

I have been running everything from a Jackery500, and for the last ~8 months, EcoFlow Delta2.
One of the main reasons I stuck with the 500, and only upgraded to the Delta2 is because they have the 12v socket and DC5521 sockets. The 5521 is rated for 12v 3amps which has been plenty for lights/fans/chargers in the camper. I use the other 5521 for a 12v shurflo water pump and the socket for my fridge. It is actually kind of obnoxious that more power stations don't have at least 3 12v options. I will probably eventually snag a USB-C to 12v option as well if I add anything else.

I did run some 10awg and 14awg from the cab to the camper so I can mix/match where the fridge/Delta2/solar lives and feeds from.

ok, please tell how you got your chimney to be black. And then, why wouldn't you paint your gas bottle black too?

Had them cerakoted before assembly. And with my luck I’ll run out of propane in the middle of nowhere with 1 place that fills tanks and they’ll tell me no because it’s painted lol

oh, good point about a painted gas bottle. I'll have to think more about it but I still think I'll paint mine black. I'll just say....."it came that way". Love, love, love the black stack.
