Those look like the replacements I received as well, which are the visually the same as the recalled version.

Mine have the Moog. Getting them installed today. I have a lifetime alignment so that's good. I'll keep you posted. Definitely want some kind of cover on them.

Went in easy. Now to file for reimbursement. I have a lifetime alignment so that helps. The original ones had tears throughout.

After just swapping the upper control arms, my numbers did not change much at all.

Hey guys, just wanted to throw my ten cents in here...and I have a question about the new UCA's I received...
My experience with this was that I filled out the form online around the end of September '23 and heard...nothing. So I pinged them at the beginning of January and a few days later I received an email confirming the shipment of the new parts...and no other communication.

So I'm a bit miffed that I was basically forgotten about and had to contact them to get the ball rolling again despite that I filled out their form in full. I also feel it would have been good customer service to respond to my inquiry before sending the parts out as I did ask them a few questions which they have basically ignored. Nonetheless, I got over it pretty quick and bought one of their quick fold aluminum camp tables along with the foam cell adjustment tool...

The parts I received were the complete UCA's, which I was pleasantly surprised because I was just expecting a couple ball joints. They are stamped with the "V2", which I assume is a plus, and they came with Moog ball joints that have zerks, which for me is a plus because I regard them as good quality.

So my question... The ball joints are not seated all the way down to the snap ring, and that seems wrong to me. I have a press and could probably push them in a little further, but not sure if that would cause more problems than it would fix, or if it's even worth the effort...I'm attaching a couple photos for reference...

I'd like to get some opinions from you guys on what to do about it.
    Thanks - Rob

OK...nevermind...I self-answered this question...being the numbskull I am, I didn't stop to think that the ball joints are pushed in from the back side...

Anyone having issues with the boot retaining spring on the new UCAs rusting? The retaining spring on my old UCAs didn't have a spec of rust after several years and these new ones rusted after a few months.

Yes. Rusted within a week of installing. To try and slow it down I took a small paint brush and coated it with anti-seize. I don't really care that it rusted but if it completely corrodes and falls apart that would be no bueno.

I got the same issue. Maybe a thin zip tie would replace it?

So does anybody happen to have the MOOG p/n for the BJ's? to replace when the time comes.
