Hey guys. I ran into a couple of issues after replacing my pump. Both of the bolts that hold straps against the frame - the tac welded threaded piece they screw into snapped - I was able to get one out towards the rear of the vehicle but the other is next to impossible to get to. I can’t even connect the pin on tbe other side without u screwing the bolt as it wont reach. Obv I habe concerns with cutting that bolt with a power tool creating sparks and all.

there’s that and I saw a huge improvement in fuel trims, I’ve noticed the truck hesitated to start as if it needs to build pressure. There’s not a lot of fuel in the tank but is this normal ?

thanks and sorry for being a PITA with things I should know before doing this work.

That makes sense. What did you use to cut that bolt and I assume you did it with the strap slightly in the way.

Installing the bolt the way you did in the opposite direction made sense as long as you grind the notch into it. Good stuff. Im
Doing this while it’s on jacks which blows but whatever right

I used a Rotozip. Basically a mini grinder, but any size should work. Be careful of course. I had no fuel laying around when did this cause there will be sparks if using a grinder.
