Since I'm a Mopar guy...and the 69 Charger is one of my favorite cars, I brought this many years ago. I think I paid $13.99 or something...I actually have 2. These have gotten cray expensive to buy online...1:24 size.

 

Visited daughter....stopped at Wally....looked liked they dumped current cases on top of older ones...was able to get some goodies....spent to much!

It's easy to spend too much on these cars. The ironic thing is that I started this because it is supposed to be a cheap hobby. Yeah well...
Fortunately I have decided to do trucks only, so the temptation is limited. There are so many nice new cars out there, I don't know where I would have drawn the line if I collected just anything that I like.

 

You’re right, it is a fine line! I use to say I only collect vw bugs. I think the problem is you see something you like and say, it’s only a dollar. That and there are some pretty cool cars out there and coming on this thread doesn’t help.

 

With that said I will also say I don’t collect the larger scale cars either but that General Lee @Dschiz posted, I see myself buying that one!

Found the Miata for a buddy of mine imma go to a few other stores to look for the neon ek9 and the spoon eg so hopefully tomorrow I can find em

I have an 83 stepside , also in black, also with hubcaps.

 

Got my eye on a black 67 or 68 Chevy pu “gone fishin” greenline Norman Rockwell but can’t pull the trigger on it. There’s a guy on my route at work with 3 actual real life square bodies, and another guy on the route has a blue one to drool over, I’ll try to snap a pic next time I see it.

 

Won some eBay auctions well below my threshold price. I’ve been watching these prices for quite some time now.

 

Variety of cars now residing in the garage display cases. The turquoise 67 Chevy pick up was originally a Hot Wheels Powder blue pick up that was slammed. I wasn't really happy with it so its in the parts bin now and that suspension fit under a black Silverado instead. Kilo Charlie just posted that black Silverado a day or 2 ago.

Aqua 64 Galaxie 500. This car was a disappointment to build. I was happy seeing it re released but disappointed in the quality and poorly fitting parts. My oldest kit is this same car that I built in 1977. Its hard to believe they are the same. Only modification was adding the wide white walls. The front fender looks like it was in a fender bender.
The 40 Ford was a problem build as well with poor fit issues on the hood. The paint was dull as well even after a couple coats of clear were added. Just wasn't meant to be but still came out decent otherwise. It was a out of the box build with the only modification being the red tinted windows. The windows dropped right in place and were left over from a 40 Willy's kit.
