Mine are stock. I would prob start small first and see if that's enough. But my history shows I jump straight into the deep end so take my advice with a grain of salt

lol. my credit wasn't the greatest when I bought the tacoma, they called me like 3 days after I drove off with it to say I needed to bring it back because the financing they thought they had secured for me didn't go through. I p much told them to pound sand, it's their responsibility to find financing since the paperwork's already signed, and no way I'd be taking back my WRX as I don't know who's driven it or what's been done to it since I gave them the keys.

They called me back later that day with an approval from Capital on for the same term but 0.5% lower interest rate lol.

Rite rite. That’s the other thought as well, regular aftermarket or the fatties.

I can’t make up my damn mind

Having worked for a dealership perhaps I can add a little insight. We had bikes come thorough as it is with unseen damage in the crate. If you accept the bike "in crate" what happens if you spot something? You damned well batter have video of the entire time the bike was in your possession on the way home, unloading from the truck or trailer, everything to be able to prove YOU didn't do it. What if there are parts missing? We had stupid stuff like a wheel spacer needed to install the front wheel not be in the crate. We generally had some around and could easily make it right. I'm right with you in the sense that the fee needs to be reasonable and admit it's a chance for a shop to pad their profit margins but they also then accept liability if something isn't right.

What's your peace of mind worth?

Cools. And that’s the thing too, many a different height, sweep, bend and other things I’m forgetting.
The deep end is the best-est.

Oh definitely. the assembly fee is one I actually wouldn't be opposed to paying simply for the liability and convenience aspect.

Agreed! But… seeing a manufacturer having a suggested setup price, Then a dealer doubling (maybe see it and paying) or tripling it, which is complete bull poop.

And yes….. I called the shit, poop.

That I will agree with lol. I could understand a slight upcharge, labor has to be compensated. But double or triple is wild

Good for you, I wasn't so responsible in my younger years. That said, my poor credit has always been due to poor debt-income ratio, despite having never missed a payment. I'll put myself in debt for some BS, then buckle down and save hardcore for a while, pay it all off, then do it again lol. Definitely getting better about it though.

yeah as I get older it's something I am much more cognizant of, hence why I'm getting better lol.

When I bought the Tacoma, i put almost nothing down, then kinda went overboard buying mods...racked up a $10k bill or so on a high limit credit card, realized how out of control i was getting, and stopped spending altogether for about 6 months then paid off that CC in full.

I'm about to pay off another large CC bill in full since I've been racking it up again this year between the BMW, R3, and YZ + other stuff I've been buying lol. Which means I'll probably see my limit jump again for "good habits" hahaha. between all my CC's, my limits are unreasonably high because I never miss payments and pay them off in full periodically.

In other news, I got the BMW back from the shop yesterday! As he was doing the valves he saw one of the ignition coils was cracked, and according to him, seems to have been cracked for a while, so it wasn't due to the crash. Luckily BMW San Diego had one in stock, so he was able to pop over and replace it real quick. Bike running perfectly as expected, valves still well within spec.

For 53k miles, having only needed to replace stator/rectifier and an ignition coil in the 18 months/18k miles I've had it, is pretty damn good for a high mileage supersport in my opinion.

damn man! thats great you are doing better about it for sure! id prob have one of my panic/anxitey attacks if i had that much on a credit card. back when the tacoma broke and i had a 5k hole to dig out of i was panicking on how i was going to afford everything. i do get paid well but im single with a good amount of stuffs lol

thats good you are close to paying off another card thou!

thats good your bike is back and running good again!

yup it's taken some time and reframing to rein in my impulse spending. Debt stresses me out a lot more nowadays than it used to which I guess is a good thing lol.

That sounds like a pretty darn good deal to me!

Try risers first. I rock some 30mm risers on my WR450 and it made a huge for the better difference

Also unless its an emergency/absolute need NEVER EVER HOLD A BALANCE ON A CREDIT CARD! 20+% interest is literally burning money.

So today I didn’t get on the bike, which was odd and I can’t remember when the last time I didn’t ride in some way was.

But today I split 5 cords in 5 hrs! A buddy brought his splitter over and we got busy. These are logs from my property, some are 150-almost 200 years old.

I got the plug for the aux wiring for the ST and soldered it up to my harness.

The best part is the plug I bought came with a second plug as well as a splitter, so I can add more stuff in the future!

We rolled a few good ones off to the side. My neighbor is gonna bring his trackhoe to load them on the truck. Got a saw mill at the base of the mtn my other neighbor runs.
We most certainly will make some cool tables out of what we got. Got some really nice cookies too.

Over all I think I have about 450 locust logs to be processed in some way.

I like those slabs you got there, very nice looking clean cuts. I have a Stihl 500i I was using today.

Just put in a wood stove cause the pride of K1 is going nuts now.
