You should consider pulling the starter and taking off the cover for the brushes. Give it a cleaning. Sounds like yours is arc'd up or dirty. That silty water will collect all in there.

Under the truck bolted to the transmission is the range sensor.
The weather pack seal is known to go bad in them and cause corrosion and throw a p0705
Unplug it and clean it out good, Use some electrical contact cleaner. Then a a LIGHT coat of dielectric grease on the seal. Don't put it on the contacts.
The grease is nonconductive, and the pins are small. you don't want the grease prohibiting the flow of electricity, on the already small pins. Just grease the weather pack seal.

Dang...I've been wheeling out along that part of the San Jacinto river for decades and know first hand how deep some of those holes are. Just an FYI, that stretch of river is within a few miles of a superfund sight containing massive amounts of dioxins, you should beware that everything your touching is potentially contaminated with nasty stuff.

    Pre-runner, so yes.

Make sure you get those electrical connections inside the cab mentioned above. IMO that's the most important thing

It looks like you lucked out here, reviewing the video carefully you can see that both on the initial dive and the subsequent settling, the drivers side wheel was at least 6-8" or more lower than pax side, canting the vehicle towards the driver side, which lifted the passenger-side fender air intake an equal distance higher on the other side.

If it had been a straight-in immersion with no lateral tilt the intake would have been far more likely to suck in tons of water & hydrolock the engine. Close call!

I was watching the water line and killed the engine when it got close. But, yah I did get lucky. When I put the new bumper I cut the plastic fender liner so that I could screw it to the body and close it off from water coming through the front.

This is most likely what saved me. Normally the fender liner is open in the front. I cut the liner and screwed it to the body so no water can get pushed up the fender liner into my intake

Yah, I know it's a toxic waste dump, do you know of any other places to go that still allows trucks and not restricted to ATV's and UTV's within 50-100 miles?

No water got in differential. The relocate mod is for sure worth the time to do!

Think the built in inverter fried, lights on the button don't even come on. Fuse and relay under the hood both look good.

Well I am in the process of shining her up, stripper her down and trading in for a 2023. Then the lift and tires go back on that one.

lol, I dunno man...was it worth it? I know the argument is that it's fun to take the truck places like this but this seems to have cost a lot of time and money. I go back and forth between here and northern Louisiana and I'd never take my taco to one of the ATV/OR parks there. I'd rather pick up an ATV and trailer for 1/4 the cost and trash that thing.

That's my plan, I opted to go with another prerunner because it's cheaper, I'm going to put the 7" lift, tires, etc from this truck on my new one. Then buy a beater 4WD to play with.

Lol, side by sides cost almost as much as Tacoma's now, so not much cheaper. Friend just bought a CanAm Maverick, by the time you get it all set up it was $35,000
