So I am looking to upgrade or pretty much replace my Entune Premium Audio non JBL. It's an ok system but not so ok either. It lacks a lot and even with the latest micro sd maps, navigation really sucks.
I mostly want to be able to have android auto and better navigation.
I already upgraded all speakers and I am happy with the audio although a better head unit I am sure would sound even better.
I am looking at a couple Kenwood heads from Crutchfield and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Kenwood heads. I like dealing with Crutchfield. They are very professional and have great support. I am leaning towards the following. Any helpful input would be great. Thx.

I have browsed the forum and looking for some fresh up to date info. I have only come across older threads on the subject.

+1 with the same question. I have a 2016 JBL Premium system, and with the constant, random reboot issues, I'm essentially running an un-usable nav system and an un-listenable music system. The JBL definitely has to go, but I'm not sure what I need to look for in a new head unit so that I can retain all the functionality of the factory stuff, like the steering volume, backup camera, etc. Any advice would greatly appreciated.

Hi. I just changed out my 2016 Sport's entune system with a Sony deck from Trail Grid Pro. I really recommend them because they build out the unit with the Maestro unit mounted underneath it already so installation was really easy (although I failed to hook up the antenna so I have no radio...)
The Entune has terrible sound quality in comparison to the clarity that I now have with the Sony. For example, the back doors' speakers can finally balance with the front's instead of being underpowered. I had changed all the speakers and installed a Kicker Key amp and a powered 10" sub and tried to live with the Entune, but in the end I hated that I could never search through my mp3s on my USB using a folder-based file-tree approach. I would always listen to my songs that were sorted out alphabetically, which drove my passengers crazy. I never understood how the deck could search through all of the folders and alphabetize every song.
I don't use navigation or maps because I live on a small, crowded island so I can't say much about that. I don't really use Android Auto either. My 9 year old daughter loves the Rear Cam view while we are driving though!
I just got my unit on Black Friday 2023.
