I decided to take advantage of some of the killer black friday deals going on and give my front end some rehab. Parts that I got are JBA UCA's, OEM LCA's, OEM Sway Bar links, and the Powerbrake D-line pads and rotors. Truck is an 08 DC OR with 5100/885s up front and 204k on the odometer. Here's a bit of what I've done in the past:

UCA's: I currently have SPC's that I installed back in 2018. I don't think they are completely worn out, but I also don't need all the adjustability and am looking to simplify a bit. Since I put these on myself, I know what a pain getting the bolt out is (bending sheet metal and such). I feel pretty confident being able to do this myself again. Do you torque the bolt with the weight of the vehicle on it or not and anyone know particular size sockets/wrenches to use?

LCA's: A friend helped me cut off the original ones and install Mevotech Supremes back in 2019. The boots are both blown out after 70k or so. When these were installed, we did the TC cam tabs, and all new OEM cam bolts. We anti-siezed the sh*t out of the bolts, so I'm really hoping I can reuse them. I believe you need to torque the cam bolts with the weight of the vehicle on them, and obviously mark the placement of the adjusters. Really hoping I can get through this myself without having to deal with calling someone or taking it to a shop.

Sway bar links: Never been changed, figured it would be a good time. The allen key at the end has me a bit confused. Any ideas on the best way to remove these?

Brakes: Bought the truck with 87k miles in 2016, and have never changed them. Still have a little pad life but definitely get some pulsing under heavy braking and wanted to upgrade. I've done brake jobs on previous vehicles and watched a few Youtube videos on changing out the Taco brakes. Would it be wise to get a hardware kit or try to reuse the old pins/spring clips?

That's all I'm looking to replace right now unless I break something or notice something else is failing. I have a decent compliment of tools(wrenches, sockets, impact gun, jack/stands) and am fairly mechanically inclined. I'm planning on setting aside a long weekend to work on it (in my garage) and then get an alignment afterwards.

Any tips/advice/specs would be greatly appreciated.

On the brakes i always replace the silencer shims, the spread clips, the retaining clips and the rubber boots that cover the slide bolts if it has them , as for the pins unless they really crappy clean and lube.

The Allen key in the end links are probably there to hold them while you turn the bolt/nut.

Have a look at the rubber boots on the caliper piston while you are in there. Sounds like you've done a bit of front end work before. Look up the how to videos and take your time. Nothing terrible complicated about what you have planned, sounds like you have it under control.
