    My neighbor Tom was a 19D in an M113 with C Troop 2/1 Cav Vietnam 66-67.

    When I first joined I was trained on 113's. Such a fun track. First duty station was Ft. Benning, D Trp, 4th Cav. Drove around an M901 (M113 w/ TOW launcher on top) Not so much fun...

    This is not true at all.

    Only AB and light Cav squadrons are going away. All the Battalion scouts will remain 19D.

    The rest of the Cav squadrons and battalion scouts will remain. 19D aren’t going away.

    Newly released ARSTRUC shows a significant reduction in 19D, welcome to the new 19C MOS. Now former scouts can drive and maintain Bradleys for the Infantry.

    SEC Army also deleted the DIV CAV concept. It may not be a reduction in 19D and just moving them around. I’m 11 so it was all blah, blah, blah to me.

    10k cuts of MP and Scouts. 19D aren’t going anywhere in ABCT, SBCT, battalion scouts are staying.

    19c is voluntary for 19D and any 11B that wants to stay on brads.

    Armor branch now owns the Brad.

    a 60% plus cut is pretty drastic. It’s not just armor and light, most SBCT CAV squadrons are being disbanded as well.
