I’m sure there’s a thread for light AT tires but I wasn’t able to find one.

I’d like to get a set of mild AT tires for my 2.7L but adding unsprung weight scares me (especially with my automatic transmission). The truck is slow enough as is.

Any good options? I don’t think I’d be straying too far from the stock size. The stock tire size is perfectly fine for me. Just want more bite in the dirt and a more aggressive look. I live in New England so winter performance is important as well.

Any input is appreciated here. Also, feel free to post the thread for this and roast me for not finding it. :)

It one of the reasons I have them on mine.
Plus, I got over 75k on the last set.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
My dedicated snows for the last 13 years are the stock 245/75/16 size BFG commercial ta traction. Do yourself a favor and bite the bullet for Michelin Defender LTX in 265/70/16.

Firestone Destination AT2. Super light and very good in the snow, on the road and decent offroad. I have 2.7 4x4 as well, I have the Yokohama Geolandar G015 AT in a 265/70/17, its also light but the firestone is lighter.

I'm running a larger 17" wheel but its actually 3lbs lighter than the stock steelies per corner. Again this is a 265/70/17 and its about 40lbs. I was a mild hit to fuel economy but not huge or painful. Plus I wanted the extra .5" of ground clearance

In your stock 3rd gen size of 245/75/16 the Firestone weigh 34lbs per tire rack.
In the stock 3rd gen TRD size of 265/70/16 the Firestone weigh 37lbs also per tire rack

I have a set of Ironman All terrains in 245/75/16 on my 4 cyl. I think they were less that 30lbs a tire when I was shopping.
Quietest AT for road noise I ever had, but they don't last as long as most other brands. Maybe 30-40k and theyre done.
