    IMG_7213.jpg Any ideas greatly appreciated!!
I updated suspension a few months back to Fox 2.5 non adjustable. I used Dirt King reservoir mounts up front. I found when making a sharp turn, my tire rubs the reservoir. Maybe the 285’s are just gonna rub ‘em??
I’ve looked at Accutunes version, that sits vertical instead of horizontal, but looking at the pics on their website makes me think I’d have to have the fittings changed out to make them work- as my hoses enter from the back of reservoir.

Any tips or tricks y’all know of by chance?? Thanks a bunch!!

What wheels are you running? Backspace etc. Spacers may be in your future.

    I’ve got Method 705’s they’re 0 offset 4.75 bs
I’d really like to stay away from spacers.

Can you put a u-shaped spacer (rubber) in the belly of the cups on each end and move the reservoir up a bit? Will require a longer clamp, but those are cheap.

That’s a good thought! I wonder if I can get it high enough without looking out of place??
I was thinking about having the mounts cut and extended up and possibly forward.

Do you have an aftermarket UCA? You may be able to tweak your alignment numbers to prevent that from happening since you don't want to go the spacer route.

I haven't had a cup of coffee yet.. :pccoffee:

But I cant see any contact, except maybe that tiny little spot on the clamp? If so just rotate the clamp all the way up so the worm gear is on top. Then trim the excess band off

Yeah I have SPC UCA’s. I’ll look into that as well.

The clamps are actually at the bottom now, but the tire still rubs the reservoir at ‘full lock.’

You're 100% positive that you're rubbing on the reservoir and not your cab mount? Clean your reservoir really well and dust it down with some talc powder or baby powder and see if you cant reproduce the rub to see what exactly you're rubbing on. I'm not saying that its impossible to rub there but maybe you might try to see if you can reorient it into the vertical position. Not sure exactly how the Fox's are routed, but there may be enough room to reposition it. Another option would be to see if you cant slide the reservoir in the bracket as close to the coilovers as possible. The FOX sticker will be covered with the clamp but that's the sacrifice we must make.

    Thanks for the reply!!
I have DRT cmr, so it’s definitely the reservoir. I totally dig the plan of dusting it to find out exactly where it’s coming into contact. I’ll climb under there today and do that. I don’t know exactly how much movement they have, but I’ll see. I probably just centered them last time I fiddled with them. I did see the vertical mounts, but it’d make the hose a loop, which I was thinking may be too tight. I google image searched a bunch, and just couldn’t find what I was looking for. :)

Yup, that was kinda my question. I didnt see any rub marks on the resi in his pic, except maybe on the hose clamp

As long as it's not pulling too tight on the hose end fittings, the hose can be a loop as long as there isn't a kink in the hose and the hose isn't touching itself because it can rub through itself. If it's anything like the King reservoirs, the hydraulic hose is abrasive shielded and braded. However, it will still abrade if the tire is constantly rubbing on it.

Okay, figured it out. Seems the bracket shifted when the tire hit the first time. Along with flipping the hose clamps, I used a quick clamp to make sure bracket stayed tight to the frame as I tightened the bolts.
No more rubbing. Thank you all for the input!!
