I have 2 RCI skid plates plus the catalytic guards I need to install. Tried to do this from my ramps, it was not a pleasant experience.

Hard knee pads from Lowes (flooring installers use them). Balance the front skid on those to get the front bolds in, then hold it stead for second set of bolts. Third set of bolts is easy after that.

Transmission plate ... nail together a stack of 2x4s to hold the transmission plate in place just about installed but but not quite. Then easy to muscle it in place. The stack will in the future allow supporting it without torquing the non-frame crossmember .. then you can remove the front skid and put bolts back in after front skid is out.

Thanks for the advice, I have a friend who is a Kia service tech and I’m going to have him help me with via their lift.

It's a skid plate, and it is a dumb question. Not a fender or roof! Why would you care what color it is. It's under the truck. I guess the mall crowd will be looking under the truck to make sure it matches.

Paint it black and make it disappear entirely. Put an additional 2" hole in it so you don't have to remove it to do the oil service on the front diff.
