Question. I need some help

    smoked taillights, thrush glasspack muffler, hollowed out cat. K&n intake,2 12' infinity subwoofers. sony xplod cd player
    ok i had a code come up catalyst efficiancy threshold bank 1. Thought it was the cat. so i gutted it out. engine light was erased and came back on. the car sputters when i accelerate hard. could it be an o2 sensor? and which one is bank 1?

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    "gutting" the cat was not a good idea. The cat is not gonna throw the same code. Some things to check would be, an exhaust leak, Cat. Converter (is it OEM?), and Down stream heated O2 sensor.

    yea its the oem cat. and i honestly dont care about the check engine light being on. i just want it to stop sputtering, it did it before and after i did it to the cat, and plan on getting a catback in the near future thats why i did it
