GooseGear in tacoma

Anyone have a seat delete in their Tacoma 3rd Gen behind the driver? I'm 6'6" and asked GG if the seatdelete removes seat functionality to which they keep replying with things like

"the seat reclines to 'normal' seating height" and called reclining "urban" position lol.
I may be all the way back with a tilt in my Tacoma, or more forward with a larger tilt. I'm actually just curious if anyone in OC SD or IE areas would let me sit in their truck and recline the seat or send me some pics of it reclined, GG AINT MUCH HELP.

 

I have the delete on the driver side. Seat functions as normal. I have a second gen access cab.

 

I have a double cab gen 3 so it's going to have to be different?

Goose Gear makes 2nd and 3rd Gen Toyota Tacoma Second Row Seat Deletes (in eight variations/SKUs) split according to the factory seating split. 60% Passenger Side & 40% Driver Side. You may install just the 40% Driver Side or just the 60% Passenger Side or install one of each for a 100% 2nd row delete.

We design 2nd row seat deletes to still allow full front to back positioning on the factory seat track plus seat back tilt to “normal” driving positions.

The seat will still move to full front to back positioning on the factory seat track plus seat back tilt to “normal” driving positions. Meaning not to a layed back "urban" position and may not lay back all the way either.


If you slide the seat forward, then yes, the geometry will allow the seat to tilt back farther. But likely just a small amount.

It’s not different. It does not affect the function or position of the seat.

 

A 2 door vehicle with shorter seats vs a 4 door vehicle + the sales team says that it cannot lay back all the way...I'm going to believe the people who want my money.
They could have just lied and left me disappointed but at this point they're actively dissuading my purchase.
Likewise, access cab photos on their site show that it's clearly a different product.

Here is my story. I didn’t feel the need to type this all out.

I was interested in the delete kit. I know somebody that is good friends with the owners of goose gear. I went to their shop in HB and they let me see all the options on both an access cab and double cab. The seats slid all the way forward and back on both models. As far as tilt, it did not look like it effected anything. Seat tilted forward to the wheel and as far back as it could. I purchased and am happy with the choice.
