"Active ingredients include surface activator, fatty alcohol, petro naphtha, synthetic oil and organic amine."

Maybe it helps the water mix better with gasoline so it just turns into vapor and pass through the cylinder into the exhaust :notsure:

Old school mechanics at the turn of the century used to remove carbon in the engine by trickling a small amount of water down the brake booster vacuum hose.

Nobody seems to have a conclusive answer as to why gasoline served in Hawaii is different.

Cheapest way to gain 40 horses depending on how much you drive.

Guess this is out of the question for the 4 banger then.
Might have to pull over to idle and cool a few times .

I don't think it is going to be an issue at all, just let it idle for a minute after working it hard. If anything it will probably be more relaxed in a similar situation, spooling the turbo and wound up to 3000 or so instead of 5500-6000.

you don’t have to pull over and idle “a few times,” it would just be if you stopped at the top of that hill without any sort of slower driving before shutting down. The 4g would still pull the hill (likely better than the 3g)

Owners manual says idle immediately. Idle means, stop, no go. Period.
Who wants to or even thought of such a thing ? A hill, not even a mountain ?
Definition - Leaving a vehicle's engine running while the vehicle is not in motion

4G isn't rated for what 3g can tow either.
How is it better when it can't even tow the same amount ?
    3G does it just fine.
All this insane extra cost and maintenance for ?
Gone are the days of a simple cost effective truck.

"To prevent damage to the turbocharger, allow the engine to idle immediately after high-speed driving or hill climbing."

No. As long as the engine isn't loaded, you are enabling oil to flow through the turbo and achieving cooling.

The definition of idle is to stop.
    "Idle immediately"
This is what the manual says, bottom line.
Argue all you want, but it is what the manual says it is.
What happens when you jam everything down a 4.
    Engineers wrote it.

IMO, not if you are on the interstate, take an off-ramp, drive a couple miles into a town and through a subdivision or pull into a business.

But, yes, do it if you are going 85 MPH and then pull into a rest stop on the side of the interstate, like taking a 1/4 mile off-ramp hard on the brakes and directly into a parking space. I do that with both of my non-turbo cars now. With a ScanGauge you can watch the coolant go from 180ish up to 190-200, then drop back to 180ish once the fan kicks on.

Or don't go roaring up a sand dune at full throttle in 4-low and then immediately shut off the engine at the top.
