I've googled till I can't anymore and gone through Tacoma world as far as I can and around this sub a few times.

I know this is pretty much a complete mystery to exactly what this color is. I'm interested in finding a paint that is as close as possible. Any insight or thoughts are welcome but let me go ahead and head off these responses and suggestions because I know they are coming.

1 I'm not trying to paint rims I'm trying to paint my emblems to match these rims I already have.

2 That being said I'm not trying to go to a powder shop place and have them match the color and redo rims I'm looking for a paint only and preferably one that won't cost a fortune and come in a can.

3 the idea of Toyota reusing a body color has come up in some other places I've looked. Those color codes are 4t0 and 4t8. One of those could be the base or close but I cannot find anyone who has tried them before and it costs nearly $50 to get a spray can of those colors. If anyone can find me an example or know I will personally shake your hand.

    4. In case you've not come across this discussion in the past I will emphasize Toyota dealerships do not in any way know the color, your welcome to try but that suggestion does not lead anywhere.

I'm pretty much stumped. Anyone who has started one of these that says they are going to try some suggestions and report back with pics doesn't do it. It's as if Toyota sends out goons to handle them and they are never seen again.

I've shopped around big box stores and there are some Rust-Oleums that might get close or some of the automotive specific spray can companies but I'm just shocked that no comparison seems to exist anywhere to find the answer to this great and mysterious question.

Any help may lead to a solution so many have looked for. Thank you

Sounds like you should take it so a shop that can match the color.. if you care that much, which it seems you do then just pay the price to do it right.

That's going to be my last attempt at it. I only need a rattle cans worth to do a few emblems. I can't imagine a shop would be excited to color match up some paint just for a 8 ounces or so. I figured somebody out there somewhere has good answer so this took less time out of my day to type up for now
