My volume control goes past 10. Is that a problem?

If you can't hear your music by VOL = 40, then that would be an issue. Use the best source of audio possible.

For example (and I am not an Audiophile nor do I claim to have this exactly correct, yet hopefully helpful in terms of increasing audio quality:
AM radio is going to be very bad.
SirusXM radio is encoded and transmitted at a relatively poor bit-rate, therefore poor dynamic range / fidelity, but likely better than AM.
FM likely better than SirusXM, depending on station power, distance, interference etc.
Bluetooth of content from your phone to the HU should be better that that (at least it will be consistent and not subject to fading or interference).
Streaming from an audio source like Spotify, Pandora, iHeart radio, or content from your phone potentially better than Bluetooth.
(depends on how the music is encoded). Streaming of Amazon Music falls somewhere in this category as well.
Hardwired content over USB cable from the phone or MP3 player better than streaming, providing the audio .MP3 was sampled at high-rate.
Hardwired content from USB stick, providing the audio .MP3 sampled at high-rate should be as good if not better than via USB cable from phone or MP3 player.

YMMV. To anyone responding that has expertise in this area, please be kind and forgiving. :drunk:

Do you realize the magnets are neodymium and they're actually a mighty strong magnet

This might be true, but the sound that came out of the stock speakers was weak. When I switched them out, they where pathetically light and cheap feeling, just swapping in better speakers made the stock unit sound better.

Hi all, has anyone replaced the factory head unit in Tacoma 2023 with an Alpine iLX-F511 or any other unit and has it fixed the issue with in call volume? Thanks in advance
