I just got a letter from Toyota corporate acknowledging the super white peeling issue on door frames and inner fenders. This is just a preliminary notification that my truck will be included in the fix if needed once that program has been determined.

Anyone else get this? Mine arrived today. 20231216_134042.jpg

Got mine in the mail today, too. Noticed a while back there were already a few threads started about this issue....FINALLY.

I don't think this program covers stuff like rock chips. The letter is pretty specific on the peeling issue around door frames and inner fenders. See the pics in the letter that I attached.

I wonder if the white 4th gen will have the same issue. Seems like it would be wise to avoid white

Good question! The letter says truck years 2016 through 2022 are included in the program (no 2023!). So I took that to mean that they fixed it for 2023 models and hopefully beyond.

Same with my 2016 but unfortunately many are not as lucky. I feel bad for those that have this headache to deal with.

My 2017 BARELY started to develop this issue. I thought mine was safe but the issue develops probably over year 5 or 6

I have this issue on my door and hood. Should I go see a dealer, or will the letter go out to everyone with a Super White. 2017 SR.

Our trucks are still newish. It wouldn't surprise me if 6 years down the line my paint starts having issues.
