You might just get used to having time off and want to make it permanent. :D

Someone put concrete against the sill board.
This is the area I have to work, that is a chisel to the right of center, not much room to swing a hammer.

If I was at the garage I would use the air chisel.

    ... several hours later ...

With some hammering, prying & swearing I got these pieces out - here I thought I was done lugging rocks out...

You never think you will be happy with 2 holes in the side of your house until you need them.

The wall turned out to be eight inches thick - the old "big iron" drill was applied - at least this time I could sit on my milk carton and work. :)

At least you didn't have to make 3 trips to the hardware store.

    That's my usual routine.

    The end is in sight!

I'm happy, but kinda sad as well. We have enjoyed this saga. Gonna be a sequel?

My old job required me to plan jobs, sometimes fairly large, I'm pretty good about having just about everything needed when I start.

Also living out here a trip to the store is about 30 miles round trip - that really ticks you off if you need just one fitting.

Sequel -- are you kidding me...

This job has kicked my @$$.
I'm going back to sleeping in the chair.

I remembered I had this miter box for trim up in the rafters of the garage - for about 25 years.
Kind of a clunky thing to work with, probably be better if it was bolted to a bench.

It works OK for the PVC pipe.

Roughed in, not pitched or glued yet.
I was able to tuck it in next to the head banger cold air return preserving the head space on the other side.

Time to go sit in the chair.

From what I’ve read it was a good dead stick landing. The pilot and student both walked away with minor injuries so it was a “good landing”. The fire was caused by the plane clipping a semi on the road after it was down.

Good luck down there, sounds like quite the storm headed to you.

I heard from a buddy that’s coming back on a cruise from Costa Rica today. They were taking 15-20’ seas and said the boat was rocking. I told him that was just a fun ride and to enjoy the no lines at the buffet. He didn’t seem to appreciate that :notsure:

Yeah, all the neighbors in surrounding RVs are worked up here as well.

    I'm looking forward to it.

Wreck this RV proper so I can go shopping for another one. If the weather wrecks everything, I guess I'll just go buy a truck and go back to Michigan.

Pretty happy about just sitting back and doing nothing tomorrow.

We on the border of N and S Carolina. I'm not expecting much. The weather quacks only get it partially right.

It’s not too bad, makes you bounce off the walls as you walk down a passage way lol

I was confused a minute since your avatar shows Central Michigan as your location. Sounds like it will be a pounding for the coast and Outer Banks. Hope it’s not bad at your place.

We are supposed to get 4" of rain tomorrow. When I lived in WV 4" of rain equated to 20" of snow. Glad I live in SC now
