I use paper maps at any/every off road park.

The electronic stuff is nice. But I like my maps. (Except in the dark)

 

that is the crux… some just don’t get it if I cared enough I would (and gladly) do it myself. The kids loss with that. He might think differently if it was HIS kid getting the opportunity…

 

Is it alright to trade in even if they are in someones name?

For those you’d need to try Gazelle. They are too old for apple. They may not bring much, but then again, my 7 year old iPad Pro brought $60.
Before trading in, you need to erase it, which is easy if you have the login password.

 

That's the problem, lady died and they threw all her stuff in garbage.

If the device is linked through a provider and there is still a balance on the acct., there will be issues until the balance is paid.
In the event of death, a death certificate would possibly need to be shown to the provider to clear any balance.

 

Apple isn't the only long lasting product. Just stumbled on this pic of our 2001 Taco that we traded for a 2018 Sport. They gave us $6,000 for a 17 year old Taco with 190,000 miles.

 

In 2018 I traded this '01 in for $5k toward the current one. They sold it for $10k with over 200k miles.
Knowing what I've learned in my short time on T.W., I should've just kept it for $5k and turned it into my wheeler.

You can see the black strip I painted. Lower doors started rusting and it liked to kick rocks in front of the back tire. Chipping it to hell.
The location history of that '01 would look like @Thatbassguy history.
The current daily driver history probably has 2. Home and Work.

 

I'm sure you would've gotten plenty of creative ideas from this bunch, and costly.
