I have a new, 2023 Limited and noticed that every time I start the truck and drive about 20-30 feet, I hear a clunk sound from under the truck. It only seems to do this after having started it for the first time. In other words, turn off the truck, turn it back on, put it in drive, and drive about 20 feet and you can hear a clunk sound from under the truck. Has anyone else experienced this?

They all do it. All 5 of my 3rd gens. It’s the anti lock brake system self checking itself .

Thanks for the response. Glad nothing is wrong. Turns out, the owners manual even mentions about a noise and that it does not mean that there is a malfunction. Seems like I just noticed it, but it is possible that if I heard it before, I might have thought it was a manhole cover or something that I went over just after taking off. Since this appears to be normal, I feel much better :)

Absolutely normal and prepare yourself for many other odd noises and sensations while driving that these trucks are known for. They are OLD. School pickups based on a 2005 frame/chassis last of their kind

Great point. I almost feel like I have a classic now that the 4th gen is out. I imagine this truck will last me a long time.

Exactly last of their kind . Will last you forever and hold its value as a classic last year of Toyotas old school design
