    Hi guys/gals.

I'm new here, 1st post. I wasn't able to find a solid answer to my issue.

I just recently bought an 04, v6, sr5 extra cab.

It seems to me the clutch releases too close to the floor. I had a mechanic look at it during a quick new vehicle inspection and he scoped the clutch and said it looked good.

I replaced the master and slave with new Aisin parts on both (fluid was dark, and bleed screw on slave looked like it was chewed by beavers). We pumped in new fluid with a mityvac, and manually bled the system. Movement and pressure feel great, pushrod is adjusted good.

Is it time to start saving up for a clutch replacement? Is there any other adjustments besides the pushrod for engagement point? It shifts good, doesn't slip or pop out of gear. I'm kind of at a loss, and I'm not a mechanic lol.

Thanks for any help! Happy holidays!

How far off the floor? Typically if with the clutch to the ground and engine idling you can easily grab all gears without it "hanging up" on entry to a gear then it's okay. Also you mentioned freeplay is okay, is your pedal height also set properly? Any floor mats under the pedal?

Good to go on the floor mats, nothing in the way there.

I haven't adjusted the height. Where do you make that adjustment?

    Thanks.

The distance off the floor is probably within the first couple inches. I'll try to get a better measurement. But it does grab all the gears well and isn't hanging up.

Low usually means good. You can adjust the pedal but you have to be careful that it has the free play.

That threaded rod is the pedal to master, you loosen the 12mm jam nut and turn the rod.

As long as you can wobble the pedal it's safe to drive.

If someone can share the FSM CL-2 it would help out here. I can't share documents like that.

The switch is the pedal height.

if you can get the gears from a stop without being blocked then I wouldn't worry about it. As Bishop mentioned, you have to reset the freeplay if you change the pedal height
