Yeah but be careful if you go to Africa, big animals can hit the vehicle or flip the vehicle over. Such as Rhino or elephant. Big cats such as lion, cougar, can scratch vehicle with their claws.

You can look up on YouTube with search that says "animals damage vehicles in africa"

Oh I don’t ever plan on doing an overlanding trip in Africa lol, that is far beyond my means.

I know you were talking about the show series but I was saying that’s all which I mentioned above.

That happened to a friend of mine on that trip. If I go, I’d ride in an official tour vehicle.

That would be cool. One of my favorite YouTubers, Andrew St Pierre White from 4XOverland, is currently doing a series on building a Land Cruiser for an African trip. I’m excited to see what he does with it.

Updated the software on my head unit today. I’m an independent man and I don’t need no dealership :boink:

I usually update the software from phone via usb cable. Last I checked it was 2 years ago and no update yet. Where did you get the file from?

I downloaded it from the Toyota website. It said it was from February 2022 so maybe you already installed that update.

I will look at Toyota website... Like I said 2 years ago, which last time I checked, nothing. I think Toyota focus on 3.0 headunits more than old ones. If there is no updates after trying again tomorrow, then I will consider to replace headunit with aftermarket unit.

He put in the quote asking about tires at the bottom. I keep going back to your 1st post because this is the way I think I need to go. The seals on the are shell is it a bulb seal.

Not sure how I missed that, lol,

I was asking why you went from the 285s to the 265s? And how the geolanders did on hard pack snowy roads?

I think I wrote a big post about it somewhere here in the thread but basically the braking and acceleration took too much of a hit with the 285’s. I drive a TON as you can see and I really love the road manners of the 265’s. Plus the MPGs are fantastic with the 265’s. I never had a chance to try the G003’s in snow unfortunately.

That being said, I might go back to a 285 and try an all terrain in the future. The 255/85/16 AT4Ws are also very tempting.
