I need to be very close to the truck for my fob to work properly. I replaced the battery and it didn’t help. Then out of nowhere it started working fine again for several weeks. Now it’s back to working crappy again. I tried my wife’s fob and it works just as poorly. Is there a sensor on the truck that can get covered or dirty or even go bad? Thanks in advance for your help.

Mine is similar. Temperature seems to matter a bit too, or maybe my thumb is just dead and it doesnt always sense it. I have to usually have the fob (which is in my pocket) on the front side of the door. If Im coming from the back of the truck it often doesnt sense it as quickly.

Mine has been very weak since my truck was new. Changing batteries has never helped.
