As long as the grommet seal is still in place, it should be totally fine

That’s not a good thing to see. I did get that notice, hopefully I won’t have to use it.

If it were me I'd just go to Costco and get a new one. Worth the peace of mind and possible hassles "down the road" ha ha. Especially if it is original in a 2019.

Get a NOCO battery boost. I have the NOCO GB40 which seems fine for a V6 Gas Tacoma. Bigger models available for diesel V8s if you have those.

Battery booster is for emergencies in the field when for some reason the battery lost its charge ... 2 AM, Sunday morning, at a stop point 20 miles from civilization ...

But if you want to reply on "the battery is new ... it MUST be perfect", feel free.

I know what a booster is for. It doesn't help the immediate situation if battery is bad.

It does help the immediate situation if you need a jump, are solo in the middle of nowhere.

You missed the point or didn't read correctly.
A "jump" no matter where you are will not help or revive a battery that is gone/dead/bad.
My suggestion was merely for the OP to get a new battery if his current one is no good. Yes a charger may be of use at some place down the road.

You said you'd rather get a new battery than a booster. I'm pretty sure I read that clearly. If you have a bad battery in the middle of nowhere getting a new one won't help, a booster may just get you started enough to get out.

There's always a chance to drain a new battery while out in the middle of nowhere and a booster would be perfect for that.

We both agree that you should have a good battery but having a booster is different and an extra piece of kit that can get you back into civilization.

AWE Exhaust, KARTBOY exhaust hangers, custom 1/0 exhaust grounding, lots of Titanium hardware from my old builds, silly JDM bits from my old Subaru builds, Uniden Bearcat Off Road CB, Firestik 2 w/custom CF mount, custom KARTBOY plate frame with Rigid Ind Spot on ball head mount, Yakima Mega Warrior w/custom CF cross brace. ARP extended studs (not installed yet), Optima Red Top, Siless Insulation in cab. Diode Dynamics LEDs throughout... More titanium fasteners. K&N intake snorkus delete. Greddy hose clamps throughout. DBA 4000XS Brake Rotors. TRD PRO fogs. Dakine Tail Gate Pad. More to come of course.

    I'm confused.
