    Hello,
Just looking for some help to let me know if my wheels look to be sitting correctly on the hubs of my Tacoma. I’m a young guy just trying to learn more about trucks and to do it on my own and make sure I’m doing things right.

    TIA

If I'm seeing what I think I'm seeing, that is the mating point between the front disk hub and the wheel hub. I don't see any gaps, and there shouldn't be any. Also, if you spin the wheel while the tire is off the ground, do you see any "wobble" in the wheel as it turns?

Good on you, for trying to learn more about your vehicle. TW is a great source for that.

I'm confused what the question is. They look like they're flush against the rotor face which is ideal. What is the issue you are having?

If the wheels are aftermarket then you might be needing hubcentric rings so the wheel spins true.

Looks like a spacer in there?
What wheels and hub bore size? What type of lug nuts are they machined for?
    You need better pictures.

There is no spacer it’s on the stock hubs. I have the trd pro 17 inch rims on and am using the stock lug nuts. From my research I believe the bore is 106.1 for the rim. And it’s on a 2023 SR5. I don’t have any clearance issues when turning the wheels and don’t have an issue getting 11-12 hand turns on the lugs before using impact to tightening down. This is a new thing for me so just want to make sure I got it sitting on the hubs how it should.

    TIA

Definitely torque em down properly! I’d rather hand tighten, then to count uggadugas!
Go down to Harbor Freight and get a cheapie torque wrench at the very least.

The good news is you hand threaded them before using the impact. The bad news is you used an impact.

Use a torque wrench to tighten, and save the impact for removal when it can't be done by hand.

Sorry guys im not super well versed in this stuff, just trying to learn! I’m not sure why not to use an impact. I see them at discount using it. Would hand tightening and then using the provided wrench be a better approach?

I understand everyone’s concern with the lug nuts but with the amount of threads I’m able to get with each lug and having no noticeable wobbling when spinning it and sitting the way it is in the noted sub par pictures provided would people here be comfortable with it as it is?

Newer trd pro 4Runner wheels are known to have fitment issues with 3rd gen tacomas wherein they don’t seat well without some grinding.

Do you have a set of torque sticks to use with your impact?

Do you want to beat up the corners of your pretty lugs with a chattering gun that has reached its limit?

    Then do it by hand.

ugga dugga's are fine. just don't sit on the trigger.

interestingly, the only vehicle i've ever had issues with breaking wheel studs is my brz, and that's only ever had me remove/install wheels with a 4-cross lug wrench...

though my favorite is the shops that will ugga dugga them on, and THEN use torque wrench. hint: if one were to set a torque wrench to 60ft/lbs, and the lug nut was ugga'd on to 100ft/lbs, the torque wrench is still only going to click at 60ft/lbs...

OP you do not have the newer wheels as referenced in quote. No fitment issues with the SEMA wheels.

The sema wheels are good just make sure you are using the the lugs for the 4runner wheels and not the lugs from your 16 inch stock wheels and yes torque them with a wrench and not impact if possible. No fitment issues at all with the 4runner pro wheels. The 21+ 4runner wheels have fitment issues
